Fell off the wagon, again

Well, I completly was unfaithful to keeping up with our blog over the holidays. They were so busy this year and the time just seemed to fly by. Here's a re-cap of the craziness...

December 19th was my last day of work and Charlie's grandparents arrived from Chicago. December 21st, I helped Barb decorate the site of her wedding and reception. The Monday before Christmas, the 22nd, Barb and Chris had an open house in their home in place of a rehearsal dinner. Chuck did all the cooking for this while Barb, her mom, her sister and I went and got manis and pedis. December 23rd was Barb's wedding. I spent the day with her - took her to get her hair done, fed her and watched Sponge Bob with her while we waited for her big moment. Had a blast at the party!!! On Christmas eve, Chuck's side of the family came over to our house for some Thai food and a viewing of "Christmas Vacation" - a Schuck family classic. Christmas morning we had a nice, quiet morning, just the three of us and than headed to Chuck's mom's for dinner. My parents arrived late Christmas night. The day after Christmas we had a big breakfast with my mom and dad and than had a third Christmas with them. The whole time my parents were here, we worked on this house getting it ready to sell (which is a story of it's own.) We watched a lot of college football while my folks were here and on the 30th, my brother Jake and his wife Brandi arrived for a few days. We celebrated the New Year by sleeping right through it. My parents left the first, Jake and Brandi left the 2nd, as well as Chuck's grandparents.

In the midst of this craziness, Miss Addison cut her first tooth! FINALLY! She is working on another one as we speak. She has always learned how to clap - which is adorable. Especially since she is usually clapping for herself. She is becoming quite the ham! And WOW!!! Did she get spoiled for Christmas. I have never seen anything like it! I will post pics soon...

Here is the news on the house. Originally, we were going to put the house on the market on the 15th of Jan. We had our water and termite inspection which came back good. We also had our home inspection which came back good as well. Karma paid off here since we have really done a lot to fix things that weren't taken care of in the past. The bad news is our appraisal came back very low. At this point, we will more than likely not be selling, but keeping the house and renting it. We feel like we have a pretty unique situation in that we will always be able to keep renters in this house because there is so much military here. It is not a done deal on the renting yet - we have a few property managers to speak with - but this looks like the direction we will be heading. I am feeling very relieved that the house isn't going on the market next week as I didn't think I could pull it off and have everything ready to go by than.
